While large breasts are considered to be very attractive, sometimes dealing with them can be a pain in the... boobs. So if you want to take a moment and rest from taming your bumpy-jumpy wild gals, here are some tips on how to make your boobs look smaller without surgery or other drastic measures.

Choose the right bra

Now, a bra is the best tool to make your boobs play the game your way. We're used to push-up bras and other solutions to make your boobs seem bigger, but there's a plethora of solutions to also reduce your breast size a cup or two. Large and in charge? Well, not anymore!

Get yourself measured

Any boobs are too big when the bra is too small. Oftentimes incorrect bra size is to blame for slipping straps, the infamous “double boob” or bra band digging into flesh. So first things first - know your actual bra size. You can measure it by yourself at home. Or you can treat yourself to a personal bra fitting. To do that, take a trip to a lingerie shop or lingerie boutique of your choice. The specialists there will know what to do and you'll end up knowing your bra size - the key recipe to a perfect fitting bra.

Avoid heavy padding

As padding adds extra volume to your boobs, choose a bra that's as thin as possible. For example, to achieve that “effortlessly cool” look, opt for a bralette. There are plenty of designs to choose from, many of them being so cute you'd be proud to let it show through a mesh or lace top.

Another option to make your breasts look smaller - a sports bra. But make sure it's not too small, as the compression might hurt your boobs throughout the day. Sports bra doesn't necessarily mean you'll end up with a uniboob. There are legit ways to avoid that.

Use a minimizer bra

Minimizer bra - well that sounds a bit science-y, right? But the maths behind it is rather simple. Minimizer bras are constructed to redistribute the pressure across your chest, thus making your breasts look more flat. Minimizer bra is a perfect option, since it makes your boobs look smaller, but also lets you maintain that feminine silhouette. Similarly to bralettes and sports bras, most of the minimizer bras have little to no padding. So if you're afraid of too much nipple situation going on, consider combining the minimizer bra with nipple cover stickers.

Consider a binder bra

Binder bras or simply binders do the magic trick of flattening your chest by several cup sizes. Binder bras look quite like sports bras, but they are a lot more compressive. It's very important to bind safely. That includes binding for less than 8 hours a day, taking breaks as often as possible and never working out with a binder on. Incorrect use of binder bras can lead to breathing difficulties, chest tissue or even rib damage.

Can't tame them? Tape 'em!

Now the last but not least way to reduce your breast size - use boob tape! That's not an everyday thing, but does the job pretty damn well. Whether it's a plunge dress, or a super intense workout where the bounce just distracts you, the tape comes to rescue. Another way to tame the boobs without adding any extra volume is the rabbit lift invisible bra.

Know your clothing tricks

Once the bra question is figured out, there are ways to make your boobs look smaller using fashion. Know your styles, colors and patterns and you'll be good to go!

Loosen up

Slim fitting clothing will only enhance your silhouette. Flowy fabrics and loose fit styles can conceal almost anything, but make sure to put the main focus on an area that's not your breast or waist, as it will only make the boobs look bigger. Also be careful with the sleeve length - sleeves too short can mess up the whole effort.

Darts, darts, darts!

You might know that awkward moment when you put on a shirt, throw on a blazer, feeling classy and all… But then you notice your shirt's formed a peephole for your boobs. The annoying gap between the buttons of your shirt. Might look sexy, but might as well look like you've bought the shirt a size too small. Lucky for you, there's a remedy. When looking for the next button-down, opt for one with darts. Preferably ones on the princess lines - the lines between the center and side seams. That kind of shirt not only makes breasts appear smaller, it also slims down the whole appearance. Same goes for choosing shift dresses and other garments.

Avoid chunky knits and prints

It's simple - chunky knit sweaters or sweater dresses add extra bulk on your boobs. Same situation for prints. Repetitive patterns are your go-to, as they take the attention away from the silhouette. But make sure the prints are small, as the larger ones simply won't flatter your curves. If aiming towards the look of smaller breasts, stay away from ruffled and frilled blouses as well.

Necklines save lives

The universal rule is - the higher the neckline, the larger the boobs. It's because of the distance between the neck and underbust. The longer the distance, the bigger the breasts appear. So crew necks and turtlenecks might want to wait for the days when you want your girls in the spotlight. To give the impression of smaller breasts, go for scoop necks and V-necks, as they draw more attention to the collarbone.

Befriend blazers

Even if office is not your thing, blazers should be. With so many different styles on the market, it's impossible not to find the right blazer for you. Loose fitting or tailored, blazers and jackets come in any shape, fabric and color of your choice. And they also slim down the curves and make the whole outfit look sleek.

Come to the dark side

It's an old rule - but an effective one. In order to make yourself slimmer, wear dark colors. Perfectly - black, as it  hides all the shadows created by your curves - breasts included.

A little change of habits

Underwear and clothing can do much. But if the smaller breast look is what you really crave, you might want to take some extra steps.

Take care of your posture

While you might think that slouching hides your boobs, it actually draws more attention to them. Not only your back looks bent, the whole appearance gets this awkward and unconfident vibe. So stand up straight and (most importantly) lift your gals up, not out.

Excercise

Ladies say that once you've started working out, it's the good bits that lose the volume first. But if exactly that is your goal, these are good news, right? While increasing any kind of movement boosts metabolism and eventually leads to weight loss, there are exercises designed specifically training the chest area, thus reducing the breast size. If you're a beginner, it's best to visit a physiotherapist first and then create an individual work out routine with a certified fitness trainer.

Balance your diet

Exercise works best when combined with a healthy diet. This being said, you might want to wave bye-bye to junk food and excessive snacking. Start incorporating more fruits and veggies in your daily meals and make sure you get plenty of protein and non-saturated fat as well. A good idea is to track your meal times and eliminate eating in the evening, generally after 6 PM as the metabolism processes tend to slow down for the night. Good news is that a healthy diet will not only make your breasts smaller. It will make you feel and look better!
